The purpose of this section of the WebTools site is to aid State web developers in understanding what they need to know about website accessibility and the associated tools and procedures, in order to comply with State and Federal Law and the State of California accessibility standards. The information is provided on the following web pages:

  • How To Implement: Detailed instructions on implementing each of the 21 required topics from the State of California standards.
  • Maintaining Accessibility : Instructions for using the Accessibility Checklist - (doc) for testing your web pages, procedural information for ensuring they remain accessible as they are later modified, and recommendations for addressing the legal ramifications of inaccessible pages.
